Prosecution’s case/defense response: Moody kidnapped 13-year-old Chrisondra Kimble and her 15-year-old cousin Delarlnova Mattox as they were walking home. He attempted to rob them, then raped and stabbed Kimble to death with a screwdriver, and also stabbed Mattox to death. The defense presented evidence that Moody was an unstable drug abuser who had experienced a terrible childhood in the custody of drug-addicted parents.
